Nicole & Mike’s elegant Estate at Florentine Gardens wedding was absolutely gorgeous and so filled with love & joy! Nicole and Mike waited for this day for years, and after having to postpone from 2020 to 2021, getting to finally celebrate these two was extra sweet! You could tell every single guest was so excited to be part of their day, and had the most amazing time! Every single details was meticulously and beautifully planned. From the epic ceremony floral arch, to smaller details like the consistent monogram on the bar napkins, dance floor, and envelope liners…everything came together beautifully! I am so excited to share some of my many, many favorite images from this Florentine Gardens wedding! But first, let me share a little bit of Nicole & Mike’s love story!
When I asked Nicole & Mike to share with me one thing they love about each other, Nicole said, “I love how genuine Mike is, how important family is to him, how smart and good at his job he is, and lastly how he is so patient with me. I get stressed fairly easily (although most people can’t tell), and he is always there to calm me down and help me walk through what I need to get done.” Mike said, “I love how sincere, thoughtful and kind Nicole is. She always includes my mom in everything, and goes out of her way to do things for others. And I especially love how funny Nicole is, her sense of humor makes all our time together fun and special.”
Nicole and Mike first met back in 2013 in college because Nicole’s roommate’s then-boyfriend (now husband) came to visit them at University of Delaware and brought a friend (which was Mike!) and we flirted but didn’t really hit it off. A couple years later on St. Patrick’s day they were both at happy hour with friends in NYC, and ran into each other at a random bar and reconnected. They’ve been together ever since!
You’ve got to hear how Mike proposed! 🙂 Nicole tells the story best. She said, “Best day of my life!! My brother recently got married early this May so I was convinced Mike would wait until after his wedding, but I was wrong! On March 9, we were supposed to meet his family at Bodegra Negra in the Dream Hotel for dinner, with drinks at the bar before (which we do about once a month). Once we pulled up to the Dream Hotel, Mike said his brother had texted him that the bar was packed and they went downstairs for a drink. We got downstairs, checked our coats and then I walked into the room and both of our families were there. Mike proposed in front of everyone, it was amazing!”
Seriously! How sweet is that proposal story!? If you can’t get enough of these two you are definitely going to want to check out their NYC engagement session blog post here!
Nicole & Mike, thank you so much for having me be a part of your wedding day! It was such an incredibly special celebration of you two and your love. It was certainly worth the wait! I am so beyond grateful for you two and for your friendship! I love you guys and can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds! Cheers to the newlyweds! xoxo
