Park Chateau Wedding, East Brunswick, NJ | Jessica & Mark

2019 weddings, I’m SO ready for you! I loved being back at Park Chateau for Jessica and Mark’s wedding, it was seriously such a great way to kick off the official start of 2019 wedding season! I got to work with some of my absolute favorites, Michelle Elise Artistry hair and makeup team and ToneMedia, the amazing husband-and-wife video team!!! Honestly, this is a dream team if you ask me! 🙂

THEIR WEDDING DAY:
PARK CHATEAU ESTATE

Jessica and Mark found the best way to my heart – they incorporated their dog Peter in their wedding day in several different ways! Even though he couldn’t be at the wedding, his presence definitely was! Mark got Jessica a pair of socks with his & Peter’s faces on them as a gift (amazing!), and they had giant cut-outs of Peter’s face that they brought out on the dance floor. That’s some real furbaby love! At the end of the night, they had a candy to-go bar including M&Ms that had Peter’s face on them!! They thought of everything! Dogs are truly the best, and I love when my couples make them a part of their day. 🙂 Another awesome touch was that Jessica’s cousin was the DJ, which made the celebration extra special!

Jessica & Mark are so easygoing and fun! They’re super sweet together, and filled with so much joy! They’re just best friends and it shows through all that they do. It was such an honor getting to photograph this perfect pair and getting to be a part of their day!!

ToneMedia’s highlight film from the wedding is UNREAL. How can you watch this without getting chills? So amazing! This video duo never disappoints! I am OBSESSED. Check out their blog post here!

THEIR LOVE STORY

Mark is a firefighter, and Jessica works for the State Firefighter’s Union – she always said she wouldn’t date a firefighter, but here we are! 🙂 Mark’s Battalion Chief mentioned that he should come talk to Jessica when they were all in Atlantic City at a Firefighter Convention, but Mark had a little too much to drink, so he didn’t go talk to her then! A little over a month later, Mark came into her office with another firefighter to talk to her boss. Long story short, her boss had Mark bring Jessica a salad, so then he was able to ask for her number after talking for a little bit! Two weeks later, he asked her to lunch at a local Mexican restaurant where they talked about life and drank margs! This date sparked such a beautiful relationship and they started dating soon after!!

Here’s how Mark asked Jessica to marry him!: “He proposed to me at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. We went on a short trip there for my birthday. My family goes to Maine/NH every year. After a long day of driving, a lunch stop that took over an hour, and a trip to the largest candy store in America where he seemed to be rushing out of there (I was so confused why he was rushing when he LOVES candy), we got to my favorite lighthouse where he had a photographer capture the whole thing. There are so many parts to the engagement, but let’s just say I had no clue it was coming and everything worked out perfectly. I was in shock and I am pretty sure I kept asking him if this was real.”

Mark says something he loves about Jessica is that she keeps him grounded when his head is all over the place and reminds him of what is important in life! Jessica loves Mark’s ambition and his ability to make her feel better when she’s upset. She said, “I feel truly blessed to have found him.” How adorable are these two?!
