Sixty Soho NYC Minimony | Brittany & Craig

Their Minimony Day: Sixty Soho, NYC

Brittany & Craig made it official and got married surrounded by their immediate family on their original wedding date, despite postponing the larger celebration due to COVID. Their minimony day was absolutely perfect in every way. The STUNNING location on a rooftop terrace at Sixty Soho, was so pictureseque and dreamy for an intimate wedding location. The fun details like custom masks, Brittany’s bridal jumpsuit, and the colorful flowers brought the day together beautifully. Of course Brittany and Craig had to include Sunny, their mini golden doodle in some photos too – and he was the CUTEST pup and did such a good job posing for photos! 🙂 I loved everything about this day and can’t wait to share all these photos! But first, let me tell you a little more about Brittany & Craig!

Their Love Story

Brittany & Craig first met when they swiped right on Hinge, and went on their first date on December 4, 2014. Brittany told me, “It was a Tuesday and that day I was working on the UWS and Craig was in Tribeca. He texted me to meet him at the loudest, least romantic sports bar across the street from Madison Square Garden. His logic was it was half way in between both of us! Even though I almost couldn’t find him in the crowded bar, we ended up hitting it off fast, and ended up going on a bar crawl (stopping in the middle for quesadillas at Caliente Cab). The rest was history!”

Their proposal story is such a good one. As Brittany tells it, “Craig literally planned the most amazing night ever and it makes me so happy to relive when I tell new people! Craig proposed on December 4, 2018 (4 year anniversary of our first date). We live on 73rd Street in Manhattan between 2nd and 3rd. During the holiday season, our tree lined block is covered in lights (which was a huge selling point when we were apartment shopping – I fell in love with the lights!). December 4th was actually a Tuesday so I was at work and had a very big feeling it was coming… We aren’t great at keeping secrets from each other and I could sense how stressed he was in the weeks leading up to this! Craig told me he made dinner plans for our anniversary, but wanted to do drinks in our apartment promptly at 6:30pm. As I am walking home from work, I realize on the Find My Friends app that he was actually in our apartment and not at work like he said he was! (He purposely didn’t turn it off because he wanted to track me!) My entire walk home, I knew I was about to walk into something, but had no idea what to expect. I come upstairs and our entire apartment is filled with photos hanging on the walls with clothes pins in chronological order of the past 4 years of our relationship. There are rose petals and candles everywhere! There was a sign on our kitchen table that said ‘Call me when you’re ready’. I called him to tell him “I’m ready”. I came downstairs and Craig is standing in the middle of our street and gets down on one knee and I said yes!! Turns out he illegally blocked our street with barricades for the 10 minutes with the help of his brothers! There was also a photographer in the street with us who took photos and came upstairs with us after as we popped champagne. We then went to a nearby bar where we went early on in our relationship and love where our families and closest friends were there to celebrate – all on a casual Tuesday night!! It was really the BEST night ever and was the most thoughtful and amazing proposal I could have ever dreamed of.” That story gives me chills! How sweet is that?!

These days their date nights are different than in pre-COVID times. Brittany & Craig got a mini golden doodle puppy (Sunny) in April during quarantine, so their date nights now typically involve hanging with their “favorite third wheel sitting on the couch binge-watching Boy Meets World and ordering from every restaurant still open on Seamless. In non-quarantine times, we love exploring the city and trying new places! We also love to travel and spend a lot of time at the beach in Fire Island. It is our happy place.”

I asked Brittany and Craig to share with me one thing the love about each other. They both love goofing off and being silly together. But individually Craig said, “I love how passionate she is about causes and helping others. She has supported THON at Penn State for years (which raises money for childhood cancer care) and gets very very into it. Seeing her promote good causes inspires me to help out too.” Brittany said, “I love how he is my biggest cheerleader! He is always there to support me whether it is through tough times, running the NYC marathon, or one of my crazy endeavors.”

To the Newlyweds

Brittany & Craig, congratulations on becoming husband and wife!! Your minimony day was so special and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it! It was perfect in every way and it was so much fun capturing these memories of your marriage day! I couldn’t be more excited for round two next year! 🙂 Sending you guys all my love and a huge hug! (And a big smooch to Sunny!) Enjoy every minute of being newlyweds!! xoxo
