Alyssa and Evan’s Skylands Manor Spring engagement session was so much fun! I adore these two, and had the best time photographing their love! Their playful and joyful spirits made their engagement photos full of personality. We had the most beautiful weather, and perfect springtime setting for this shoot! I can’t wait to share my many many favorites from this session! But first, a little of Alyssa and Evan’s love story. 🙂
When I asked Alyssa & Evan to share with me one thing they love about each other they gave the most thoughtful answers. Alyssa said, “I love Evan’s patience and how supportive he is.” Evan said, “I love how Alyssa is able to sacrifice for close family and friends.”
Alyssa and Evan are high school sweethearts! Alyssa told me, “We met toward the end of my senior year while Evan was a sophomore through some mutual friends. I then attended University of Delaware and Evan went on to attend Ithaca College. After we both graduated and got through the initial COVID surge, we finally moved in together last June. We got engaged in Aug of this year!”
Alyssa tells the proposal story best. She said, “We got engaged at the end of August on a trip to Lake George! It was the first time that we had ever been there and Evan surprised me before dinner at the Sagamore Hotel. We had discussed engagement for some time but I didn’t expect it to happen during that trip until Evan was acting a bit strange on the drive over and wanted to stand in a specific spot to look out at the lake, which prompted me to ask if the moment was happening. He had actually hired a local photographer as well to capture the moment and take some pictures of us around the property afterword before dinner.” So sweet!!
Alyssa & Evan, thank you so much for such a fun time exploring the gorgeous Skylands Manor! You two are naturals, and so much fun to photograph! I had the best time with you both, and cannot WAIT to do it again in a couple months for your wedding at Stone House at Stirling Ridge!
