Bonnet Island Estate Wedding | Justine & Tony

Their Wedding Day: Bonnet Island Estate Wedding

Justine & Tony’s Bonnet Island Estate Wedding was the perfect way to kick off our 2023 wedding season!! We had SO much fun celebrating this couple! Fun fact, I first got connected with Justine when I photographed her sister, Kristin’s wedding in 2021! It is so special to me when I get to photograph the same families multiple times! 🙂

Back when I first connected with Justine about her wedding I asked about their vision for their wedding day. She said, “we love the beach so we are going for a beachy/boho vibe. We also just want it to be a big party and have a ton of fun. We chose Bonnet Island because I always wanted to get married by the water and my fiancé has been to several weddings there and loves it. Everyone thinks Bonnet Island is very “us”.” I couldn’t agree more! Their wedding day was perfectly them!

One of the most fun and exciting and personalized pieces of the day, was that Tony plays in an amazing band, Howl Band, and they played at the reception! It was so cool to see Tony crush it on the guitar and perform for family and friends! Everyone had a BLAST dancing the night away and grooving to amazing music! I can’t wait to share so many favorites from this day, but first, I gotta share a bit of Justine & Tony’s love story!

Their Love Story

When I asked Justine & Tony to share with me one thing they love about each other, they gave such sweet answers. Justine said, “I love that he is so supportive and funny. He always makes me laugh!” Tony said, he loves Justine’s “passion for dogs”, being that she’s a veterinarian and dog lover! 🙂 On Justine & Tony’s first date, Tony met Justine’s dogs and they loved him. (Which Justine said was immediately a good sign). Since that first date, they haven’t gone a day without talking. Their typical date nights involve “dinner, usually Italian food. Majority of the time, it’s followed by ice cream. Always soft vanilla with rainbow sprinkles.”

The Proposal

You’ve got to hear how Tony proposed to Justine! She tells it best. Justine told me, “Tony took me out on his boat for a last minute boat ride (so I thought). He asked me to look at the light at the top of the boat to see if it was working. When I turned around, he was on one knee with the ring in his hand. I froze and pretty much stopped breathing. I said yes. When we got back to the dock, both our families were waiting for us to celebrate. ” How sweet is that proposal story!
