Their Wedding Day: Clarks Landing Yacht Club

Kristin & Ryan’s Clarks Landing Yacht Club wedding was a DREAM! The most perfect day for the most special couple! After having to postpone their 2020 wedding due to covid, their big day this year was EXTRA special. You could feel all the energy and excitement from all of Kristin & Ryan’s guests! Everyone was so excited to finally celebrate this sweet couple and witness them getting MARRIED! 🙂

I have SO many favorite parts of this day…from the emotional first look Kristin shared with her dad, to the first look with Kristin and Ryan, to the most perfect sunset over the dock (which, if you know these two, you know sunsets are their thing, so it was extra magical). Just putting together this blog post made me emotional reliving all these incredible moments throughout their day. Before you scroll on to my *way too many* favorite images, make sure you read about their love story! When you get to the part about the proposal, you’ll see why the golden sunset on their wedding day held so much meaning!

Their Love Story

When I asked Kristin & Ryan to share with me one thing they love about each other – they gave such good answers! Ryan said he loves, “how much fun we always have together! We are best friends and are always laughing together. We just love always being together and there is no filter whatsoever.” Kristin said, “to be honest we are polar opposites, but I really think we complement each other really well. My favorite thing is that we have SO much fun together and are always laughing. Also, he has made me realize that in life it’s important to stop and appreciate the beauty in life. From the beginning of our relationship he would always point out how beautiful the sky was and would take me to so many places to get the best view of the sunset. He’s truly the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and I know that he will always and forever do anything to make me smile.”

Kristin & Ryan met over 10 years ago through mutual friends. Kristin said, “After I graduated High School I went off to College, but I really didn’t like the school I started off in. I found myself coming home every weekend hanging out with a big group of friends, including Ryan. One specific night we all decided to do a night in the city and I think from that night on we have pretty much been inseparable. I came back home the next year and took some classes at the community college near home that next year. It honestly really started to get serious after we took a public speaking class together – what an icebreaker lol. Since then I have been 1-3 hours from home finishing up schooling and he has come to visit me just about every weekend, despite being in graduate school himself. He truly is the sweetest and most selfless person.”

The Proposal

Just wait til you hear how Ryan popped the question! Kristin tells it best, “Since the beginning of our relationship 7 years ago, our favorite thing to do together has been watching the sunset. We have gone to so many different places to find the perfect sunset, but the absolute best spot was the end of the dock at a beach nearby. While we were on our way to dinner, Ryan suggested that we stop there to catch the sunset. We walked up to the dock – to by far one of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen together – and after taking in the moment for a minute he started to take a picture of me looking into the horizon, as he always did. Soon after I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to find him kneeling on one knee, with the most beautiful ring in his hand. He asked me to marry him, and obviously I said yes!”

To the Newlyweds

Kristin & Ryan, thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day! It was such a joy to capture the start of this next chapter! I love you guys and couldn’t be more grateful for your friendship! Happy honeymooning!!! Enjoy every minute of this newlywed bliss! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! xoxo
