Their Wedding Day: Eagle Oaks Country Club

Katie and Kevin’s Eagle Oaks Country Club wedding was the most perfect day! There was so much emotion and love felt by everyone throughout the day. Katie and Kevin’s first look was one of my favorite moments! I loved that they chose to have their first look in Katie’s parents’ backyard (also where we took their engagement photos!). And I loved Kevin’s sweet reaction to seeing his bride for the first time! 🙂

There were so many other heart-string pulling moments, like Katie & Kevin’s vows during the ceremony, and Katie’s dance with her dad, and so much more. One of the cutest details of their day that I’m absolutely obsessed with was their cake topper!! Katie and Kevin had a cake topper made of their sweet pup Riley, and it was placed on the cake in a way to make it look like Riley was playing in the icing! Just wait til you see it – it’s perfect! 🙂

At the end of the night I got to dance to my favorite song, “Shout!” with Katie, and it was the best. I think that comes in as a tie for favorite moments of the day! 😉 Just saying! I can’t wait to share so many favorites from this day, but first I want to share a little of Katie & Kevin’s love story!

Their Love Story

I asked Katie to share with me how she and Kevin met, and she told me they first connected via a dating app. They had both just gotten out of tough relationships and were just starting to get back out there on the dating scene. She said, “We hit it off and ended up meeting up at like 8am after he finished one of his classes since we went to the same school. I have never woken up at 6am to get ready for a “first date” haha! We ended up grabbing Dunkin Donuts and we talked and it kind of just worked. From there we ended up hanging out a lot and going on a lot of stupid and fun and silly dates during our last semester of college.”

“It turned out that we had met once before at a friends apartment, but we didn’t talk at all. We actually had a lot of mutual friends so it was kind of weird we never met before. He asked me to be his girlfriend at the Laurita Winery food truck festival right where his uncle got married. I remember telling my family for the first time about him and saying about how the timing wasn’t great but it would be like someone handing me a million dollars and then being like no thanks. The rest is history!”

The Proposal

Their proposal story is just as sweet! Katie tells it best, “So going off the Laurita theme, we planned to go to one of the food truck festivals on June 29, 2019 and I kind of had ideas that it might happen then but he kept throwing me off so I didn’t think it would happen. He was all nervous that morning when we woke up and immediately left to go get a haircut and I was kind of like uhhhh okay? Haha!”

“We ended up getting to Laurita and his cousin “texted him that they were there with his wife’s coworkers”. (The same cousin is a freelance photographer). So we met up with them and got our chairs set up and everything and then he explained that his cousin wasn’t there for work and neither was everyone else and then he shouted to my whole family and his whole family that was hiding behind a set of bushes and told me that he wanted everyone to be there to watch him ask me to marry him. We spent the rest of the day at Laurita with our whole family celebrating and drinking wine. It was amazing- I was so surprised that everyone had come because I was really convinced everyone was doing what they said they were doing that weekend. It was fantastic!”

How cute are they? I can’t get enough of these two and their love!
