Spring Lake Engagement Session | Louise & Brad

Their Session: Spring Lake Engagement Session

I recently had the absolute joy of photographing Louise and Brad’s Spring Lake engagement session at Divine Park, followed by a trip to the beach! They brought along their adorable English Bulldog, Poppy, who absolutely stole the show with her playful antics and cute floral collar! Despite some chilly temperatures, Louise and Brad were up for anything, including getting a little wet splashing around in the ocean. And I’m so glad they did, because the resulting photos are absolutely stunning!

Their Love Story

I asked Louise and Brad to share with me one thing they love about each other. Louise said, “One thing I love about Brad is that he never takes anything too serious! He stays so grounded and never really gets upset. He makes me laugh :)” Brad said, he loves that “Louise has such a high sense of morality! She is so driven and determined and it makes me push myself to be better for myself and her.”

How They Met

Louise and Brad sparked their love story while working at Raritan Valley Country Club. “We did actually go to the same high school and knew of each other, but we were dating different people at the time,” says Louise. “After my freshman year of college in 2017, I came home for the summer and fell in love with Brad! We’ve been together ever since.”

Their Proposal

Brad proposed to Louise on a snowy day in January while they were visiting Princeton, one of their favorite places to go. “We go there any time we can!” says Louise. “On January 16th, a light snowfall started. Brad asked me if I wanted to go on a walk through the campus (which was kind of odd since it was snowing). We got to a grand entrance with a huge set of stairs and he got down on one knee! Our family and friends popped out to embrace us!”

I asked them to share their favorite thing about being engaged! Louise said, “My favorite thing about being engaged is celebrating with our friends and family! I am also excited about planning our future together and am enjoying the planning process (so far haha)!” Brad said his favorite thing is telling people the story of how he proposed! (And it sure is a great story!)

Louise & Brad

Louise and Brad, thank you so much for such a fun and adventurous engagement session! It was such a joy to capture your love and laughter, and Poppy’s playful energy was a DELIGHT. I adore the three of you! I feel so grateful to have been a part of this special moment in your lives and can’t wait to celebrate with you on your wedding day at Bear Brook Valley! Sending all my love your way! xoxo
