The Coach House at Ryland Inn Wedding, Whitehouse Station, NJ | JoAnn & Dan

JoAnn and Dan’s Ryland Inn wedding day was absolutely amaaazing from the new Coach House venue to every detail these two chose for their day! I got connected with JoAnn because she was a bridesmaid in one of my sweet 2017 bride’s wedding day! I was SO excited when JoAnn reached out to ask me to photograph their big day. Plus, it was so cool getting to now celebrate with two of my incredible couples! JoAnn and Dan are seriously the most genuine people and such a joy to be around. You can just tell these two are best friends through and through. I loved documenting their love story from their Allaire State Park engagement session to wedding day! Although the morning of their wedding was torrential downpours, nothing could stop these two, and the rain cleared up just in time for the day to really begin! Thank goodness, because these portraits are some of my faves, and I’m so glad the weather ended up being so beautiful for us to capture them! 🙂

Ryland Inn recently added a new addition to their venue called The Coach House, which is unique and stunning from floor to ceiling. Seriously, everything is magical from the the cozy fireplace, to the abundant window light, awesome flooring, and insanely cool chandeliers! It’s such a great space, and I absolutely love shooting at this venue.

JoAnn picked some gorgeous bridesmaids dresses for her girls – the colors paired so well together and they all looked super fabulous! Her and her girls were so much fun in the morning from hyping JoAnn up to pose in the bath tub with a bottle of champagne to their adorable laughs on the lounge chair together! We had a blast all day, and the groomsmen only added to the fun! Seriously, this crew and allll of their guests tore it up on the dance floor! One of my favorite moments was when Dan’s older brother got on the mic for a toast and walked everyone down memory lane of growing up with Dan. He mentioned that although he is the older brother, he truly looks up to Dan, and that seriously had the whole room in tears!

JoAnn’s best friend from college grew up with Dan and eventually connected them to one another. Her friend always mentioned Dan and although JoAnn expressed interest, nothing ever came out of it, so she assumed he was not interested. It wasn’t until her friend went to her 10-year high school reunion when she saw Dan again! She came back to JoAnn saying “Sooo, I saw Dan, and he is interested in getting together.” Long story short- JoAnn’s matchmaker of a friend gave them both each other’s numbers. “Impatient Jo texted Dan first,” she says! The rest was history after that first date!

Dan proposed at Crystal Springs Resort. JoAnn had received a gift card to go there for her 30th birthday, and a few months later, they were finally getting to use it! She says, “I wouldn’t say I was expecting it to happen there but was hoping! I had been there before but it was new for Dan, so he suggested to walk around to see what to do when we got there. He wanted to take a picture, which is not like him (it’s always me asking!) so I suggested we take it in front of the truck with the mums and pumpkins at the entrance. So we walk to the front of the resort and ask one of the valet guys to take a picture (really to take a picture of the proposal!) Dan hands me a card, and the last sentence in the card was, “there is one really important question I have to ask you” and then he got down on one knee and proposed! We had the rest of the weekend to celebrate and he also surprised me on Sunday when we got back, our families and close friends were at a restaurant waiting for us!” What an absolutely perfect weekend celebration! 🙂

JoAnn and Dan, you two are something out of a fairytale! It was such a pleasure getting to celebrate alongside you both, and I cannot wait to see how your love story grows! I’m SO happy for you two. Congratulations on the start of your forever!!! Love you two! <3
