When Nicolette first reached out to me about her wedding she described their wedding style as very rustic/farm, “I love love love foliage and we want the alpacas to be involved as much as possible. We love the bails of hay on the premises at WoodsEdge Farm, and the beautiful wooded area. We will have cornhole, a fire pit hopefully, we want sparklers for the end and smores during. Just all things that make the night come together. I love attention to small details, and love when people get to appreciate that kind of stuff.” I absolutely LOVE Nicolette’s style, and from day one I knew her wedding vision would be executed to perfection!
Nicolette & Mike’s wedding day was a DREAM! All the thoughtful details, gorgeous & unique color palette were absolutely PERFECT! From the lining of Mike’s jacket featuring their engagement photos (how cool is that?!?), and the thoughtful gifts Nicolette & Mike got for each other, to the jaw dropping reception barn, and beautiful vows these two wrote for their ceremony…I don’t think I could choose just one favorite part of the day! Not to mention, WoodsEdge Farm is home to many llamas and alpacas who not only made a ceremony debut, a special portrait appearance (aka my dream come true), and also made for such a fun activity for the guests to feed them and take pictures during cocktail hour! This wedding day was truly a blast!
I am dying to share these photos, but first, let’s talk about Nicolette & Mike’s love story!
When I asked Nicolette & Mike to share with me one thing they love about each other, Nicolette said, “Mike’s personality, sometimes I hear him say things to his friends and I feel like I’m the only one laughing haha.” Mike said “I love how caring and good Nicolette is to others, and how she doesn’t expect anything in return.”
Nicolette & Mike love date nights grabbing dinner and drinks, and have made a tradition of trying new places on Thursdays! The enjoy anything by the water or anything that is pup friendly – gotta include their adorable Remi girl in the plans!
Let’s throw it back to how it all started!
Nicolette & Mike first met in college, at West Chester University in PA! As Nicolette tells it, “He lived behind me, I first met him at a party 2 years prior (he had a mullet, I wasn’t interested). Then we re-met after our 2 houses started to hang out with each other – I lived with 7 other girls, and he had 4 guy roommates. Our first date was at the Philadelphia Zoo.”
Okay this is such a good story! You have to hear how Mike asked Nicolette to be his wife! Nicolette tells it best: “So, in college when he asked me to be his girlfriend, he got me this HUGE bear that had a ribbon on its neck saying will you go out with me, we recently moved to Manasquan and kept lugging the bear from house to house (moved twice). So when we moved to our current house we had just finished unpacking. Mike was forcing me to go out to dinner and I really did not want to, we moved all day and I was tired, my sisters came over to see it all. As I was getting ready to go out to dinner he called me to the family room and proposed, with the big bear, but the ribbon was a little different this time haha. I have 3 sisters I’m very close with so they were all there to see and take pictures. It was fun, exciting, overwhelming lol. Best part was Mike forgot all of his clothes in the old house so he was wearing basketball shorts and t-shirt haha. We had to go break in to our other house that night (lost the key) and get him dressy clothes, when we got to dinner a lot of our friends and family were there. Haha, it was a little crazy, a lot of things happened in a short amount of time, but I feel like that is our life in a nutshell.” I love this story, and these two so much! It seriously is a perfectly “them” proposal story!
Nicolette & Mike, CONGRATULATIONS on your marriage!! I am so happy for you guys and so honored to have been a part of your day! And I’m so beyond grateful for you two and your friendship! Your wedding celebration was magical in every way! Cheers to the start of your forever together as Mr. & Mrs.!!! Sending a huge hug and all my love! xoxo
