Bradley Beach Engagement Session | Brit & Ryan

Their Session: Bradley Beach Engagement Session

Brit & Ryan’s Bradley Beach engagement session was a blast! They included all their favorite things, from skateboards, to their most frequented restaurant, Fins, and of course, their furbaby Finn! 🙂 The playful joy radiating from these two will make your cheeks hurt! They have so much fun together, and have the most contagious smiles! I loved every second of photographing these two in a place that’s so special to them!

You also should know that Brit is an AMAZING photographer, and I am so incredibly honored that she asked me to photograph her and Ryan for their wedding! (You have to check out Brit’s website, Wild Magnolia Photo here!) Anytime another photographer entrusts me with capturing their special day, it means the world to me.

I have so many favorites from this session to share! But first you gotta read about their love story!

Their Love Story

I asked Brit to share with me something she loves about Ryan. She said, “I love a lot about Ryan. So here are a few…he’s super modest about himself (he’s been like that since we met. He’s super athletic and I still don’t believe sometimes how good he is. He loves his family so much and would do absolutely anything for them, and he is the most selfless person I know.”

Brit and Ryan went on their first date to 10th Ave Burrito in Belmar…and they closed the place down, staying until they were asked to leave. Brit said, “Ryan was living in Baltimore at the time and I was in Bradley Beach. I some how convinced him to drive back to New Jersey just days after New Years when he was just here visiting family in Brick for Christmas. We then had our second date two days later.”

The Proposal

Ok you have GOT to hear about this proposal! Brit gave me the scoop! She said, “Since I teach Photography, it only makes sense to have my own Photography business. My friend Jordyn and I had planned to do a photo session swap.  She was going to photograph Ryan, our dog Finn, and myself and then the plan is to photograph her & her bf. However, Ryan had other plans! He reached out to Jordyn and asked if she would document him proposing! We were on the beach and Finn was being a total pain, so here I am on the ground trying to bribe him with treats and fix the blue bandana on him when Ryan says, “Hey I have a better bandana to put on him.” and he walks over with a white bandana that says “Will You Marry My Dad?” He also had my parents and his parents there for the big surprise!” How perfect is that!? A+ job, Ryan! Perfect surprise, and so sweet to be able to have photos of this special moment!

Brit & Ryan

Brit & Ryan, I couldn’t love you guys (or Finn) more! Thank you so much for having me be a part of this season! You guys are SO much fun, and I’m already counting down the days til I get to photograph you two again! I can’t wait! Until then, enjoy every minute of being fiancés!! Sending all my love and the biggest hug your way! xoxo
