Their Wedding Day: Indian Trail Club Wedding

Meg and Tommy’s Indian Trail Club wedding was one for the books! These two planned the most perfect wedding day, and it was such a joy to be able to finally celebrate with them! I loved getting to work with my bestie Michelle Elise Artistry for this wedding day! Michelle and her team glammed everyone to PERFECTION! I also appreciated all the attention to detail Meg put into getting her bridal details together! Her beautiful (and amazing smelling) perfume, personalized ring dish, and fun jewelry were so fun to photograph! They totally set the tone and style of the day!

Photographing Meg & Tommy is my FAVE! These two are so sweet together, and so in love. Ever since their engagement session, I’ve been daydreaming of their wedding day portraits, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The beautiful scenery at Indian Trail Club, including the gorgeous dock, made for the best backdrops! And Meg and Tommy’s joy and love was so contagious and fun to photograph! Before we dive into all my favorite photos from their day, let me share a little bit of their love story!

Their Love Story

When I ask Meg and Tommy to share with me one thing they love about each other, Meg said, “I love how Tom is there to laugh with me through all the good times and the bad. Even on my worst days, he is able to find a way to get me to laugh about any situation, no matter how upset, angry or sad I was before.” Tommy said he loves “how efficient Meg is. I love how organized she is, and how she thinks things through to get things done with the best possible solution.”

How They Met

These two were meant to be together from the start. Their love story began back in the 7th grade! Meg told me, “We both went to different catholic elementary schools in the area and our schools played each other in sports and had middle school dances together. So, at a middle school dance, I spotted Tom and instantly fell in love! I had the biggest crush on him when I was in middle school, and the two of us always talked on AOL instant messenger (throwback! lol) and hung out every once and a while until high school.”

“We were close friends in high school, but started officially dating our Junior year.. I went to public high school, but he went to a private all boys school and we both took each other to our proms. We were somewhat long distance in college, I was in Rhode Island and he was in Boston so we were about an hour drive apart but we stayed together throughout college until we both moved back to North Jersey after graduation.”

The Proposal

How cute are these high school sweethearts? Just wait til you hear how Tommy proposed! Meg tells it best, “He surprised me with a weekend down the shore in Lavallette.. We actually stayed at the same motel that we stayed at after senior prom 7 years earlier. We spent the day hitting up all of my favorite spots down the shore (Playa bowls, Wawa coffee, and went to the Crabs Claw restaurant in Lavallette for dinner.) He proposed on the beach at sunset, with a rose petal heart in the sand. After I said yes, we celebrated with champagne and going to our favorite ice cream place (Kohr’s – orange and cream with rainbow sprinkles!!). When we drove home the day after he proposed, he surprised me again with an engagement celebration dinner with both of our families!” It doesn’t get any more perfect than that! 🙂

To the Newlyweds

Meg & Tommy, thank you so much for having me be a part of your day! You two are such a joy and it’s been so much fun celebrating you two along this journey, and finally getting to see you tie the knot! It was the best day every and the perfect kick off to this next chapter! Soak in all the newlywed bliss! Sending you guys the biggest hug and all my love!! xoxoxo
