Park Chateau Estate & Gardens Winter Wedding | Caroline & Jim

Their Wedding Day:
Park Chateau Estate

When Caroline first reached out to me about photographing her Park Chateau wedding, she told me about her vision for the day. “Our wedding will be very upbeat, loud, and full of my aunts and cousins singing and dancing to “Gloria”! We want to add a lot of personal touches so our guests can see who we are as a couple.” I loved how her vision for the day was filled with so much excitement and joy – and this vision certainly came to life. Caroline & Jim’s wedding reception was a BLAST! Everyone was certainly belting it out when “Gloria” came on, ALMOST as much as when “Sweet Caroline” played! ; )

As if their wedding wasn’t already fairytale perfect, Caroline & Jim’s double doodle pup, Enzo, made an appearance for a few photos too! Anytime a furbaby gets to be involved in the wedding it’s a gold star kind of day in my book! I am obsessed with all these photos and can’t wait to share! First, let me tell you some more about the newlyweds!

Their Love Story

Caroline & Jim met at The Knight Club in New Brunswick a year after graduating from college. Caroline and Jim each met up with their friend groups for a night out. For one reason or another, Caroline and her friends kept making frequent bathroom trips. Jim noticed and as a conversation started decided to go over and chat. Caroline told me, “We wound up talking about music and found out we both, surprisingly, like rap (haha). Jim bought me a Bud Lite and chatted a few more minutes before it was time for my friends and I to go. Jim asked for my number and texted me later that night “hey Caroline, it’s Jim. it was great meeting you tonight”. We continued to text and after being nervous and making up some excuses why I couldn’t go out we finally decided to meet for dinner in New Brunswick! We totally connected and the only nervousness I felt after was when I was picking out my outfit for our next date!” I just love these two and their story!

Want to hear how Jim popped the question? Caroline told me, “The day we got engaged was July 28, 2018. Jim told me we’re going to celebrate our 4 year dating anniversary that day and to make sure I had a nice out for dinner. He didn’t tell me exactly where we were going but when I saw the signs for Hoboken I knew we were celebrating in our favorite place! He got us a room at the W hotel and told me he has some plans for the night and to “just go along with it”.  In my mind we were going into the city because we were walking towards the path. However, Jim said he wanted to take a detour onto Pier A. I noticed a helicopter flying above us and all of a sudden Jim started talking about helicopters and Other random things. When we got further down the pier Jim started talking about our future and how much he loves me. He then turned me around (so the photographer could get pictures lol! ) and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was so shocked because I was convinced it wasn’t happening that night, that I put out my right hand! There are pictures of Jim almost putting  the ring on my right hand! We obviously realized right away but we still laugh at that. After he proposed we called our families and friends and then did a little photoshoot. After, he took me to the Chart House and we celebrated more with the most amazing view. It is a night I always will remember!”

I asked Caroline & Jim to share with me one thing they love about each other, and Caroline said, “I love how patient Jim is with me. He is always motivating me which I love =)”. Jim said, “Caroline’s ability to make me laugh even when I don’t want to! I also love how big her heart is.”

To The Newlyweds

Caroline & Jim, thank you so much for having me be a part of your day! Your wedding was pure magic from start to finish! I’m honored to have been able to capture all these sweet memories for you two. Cheers to the start of your forever together, and many years of happiness to come! Sending a huge hug and all my love! xoxo
